Founded in 2013 by Susan Phillips-Hardison, Black Water Media emerged as a dynamic force in the world of marketing and creativity. With a solid foundation in business marketing from Seton Hall University, BWM’s founder embarked on a journey that has since redefined the way businesses connect, engage, and thrive.

The inception of Black Water Media was a natural progression from a career trajectory that began with invaluable internships at EMI Music/Capitol Records and later at Universal Music/Columbia Records, then Apple Inc. During these formative years, our founder was involved in monumental projects, such as bringing the Beatles to Apple Music and contributing to the marketing endeavors of iconic artists like Beyoncé, J Cole, and the High School Musical franchise.

Black Water Media emerged as a local creative powerhouse. We began by curating innovative events like the Urban Trade, a unique vendor show designed to uplift small businesses. These events, held in diverse cities like Atlanta and Melbourne, Florida, showcased our dedication to fostering entrepreneurship and collaboration.

Since its inception, Black Water Media has been a catalyst for growth, partnering with over 150 small businesses. We've crafted comprehensive marketing solutions, helping these enterprises thrive in a competitive world. Our expertise spans digital landscapes, branding strategies, and event marketing, breathing life into ambitious ideas and translating them into remarkable success stories.

At Black Water Media, we believe in the power of passion, creativity, and strategy. We're not just marketers; we're partners on a journey of transformation. Our mission is to harness the experiences, knowledge, and boundless energy gained from our journey and channel them into propelling your business forward.
